ASAP is a sector driven response to a national challenge - and not before time.
The SEND system is broken. Funding is fragmented. Outcomes are inconsistent. However, the innovation, insight, and abundant commitment the sector demonstrates, day in day out, can arrest this decline, paving the way for desperately needed system reform. ASAP uncovers, supports, and amplifies what works - helping more people to do more, faster.
Action. Not abstraction.
Problems are myriad and complex. But many solutions are in the sector already. ASAP focuses on driving practical change, supporting frontline professionals who live the SEND reality every day. We will proactively identify initiatives demonstrating, or showing potential to deliver, measurable improvements in outcomes, inclusion, and, crucially, cost-effectiveness.
By providing tailored support, empiric evaluation, and practical toolkits, ASAP will help initiatives scale rapidly and sustainably. With an unashamed focus on short to mid-terms solutions, ASAP’s targeted support can help great ideas from across the sector become widespread realities, buying much needed time in a system that is currently bleeding out.
No single approach or constituency has all the answers to SEND challenges. Our emphasis is on evidence-informed practices, demonstrable outcomes, and ethical, inclusive approaches. We welcome submissions from public, private, and third sectors.
